Bachelor Party

bachelor party special for the boysA bachelor party (also called a stag party, stag night (UK, Ireland and Canada), or bucks party (Australia)) is held for a groom-to-be shortly before he is married, to make the most of his final opportunity to engage in activities a new wife might not approve of, or merely to spend time bonding with his male friends. This kind of party may involve activities such as going to a strip club, hiring a female stripper or escort, drinking alcohol and gambling.

The task of organizing this pre-wedding party is often assigned to a male sibling of the groom-to-be. And in the absence of a male sibling, a male friend will organize it. The task often falls to the best man as well.

The tradition is thought to have originated with a bachelor dinner that was traditional in ancient Sparta.

A different kind of bachelor party fun is found in playing paintball. It's good clean fun for the guys without the hassle of paying for drinks and the stripper when you're drunk as a skunk and have no complete control of your actions.

Who Can Play?
Anyone 10 years old and over. Players under 18 will need to fill-out a Release of Liability Form. Everyone is invited to relax and enjoy a day of paintball. You will be given hands-on instruction on equipment and safety rules prior to game play.

Is Paintball Safe?
Like any other activity or sport, there is always the potential for injury. However, standard safety rules, and the proper use of industry-developed and approved safety equipment have made paintball one of the safest participatory sports. In fact, insurance company statistics have shown that more people are hurt bowling and fishing than playing paintball.

When on the field players must *ALWAYS* wear protective goggles which are part of a special mask which protects the eyes and face. When not on the field barrel plugs are inserted into the paintball gun to prevent paintballs from leaving the barrel. Safety is highly stressed at our fields with orientations given at the beginning of each session and referees/staff members on hand oversee the players. Finally, commercial paintball fields limit the velocity of a fired paintball to less than 290 feet per second. Fields which do not enforce safety requirements should be avoided.

Does it hurt when you get hit with a paintball? It is a bit of a sting. Paintball operators do try to keep close range shooting down to a minimum among players.

What Should I Bring? It is recommended that you bring dark clothing or camouflage, high-top sneakers or boots and an extra change of clothes. Paintball range operators will supply you with all of the equipment you need to play the entire day. Hot and cold food and beverages are also available at some locations for your purchase (some fields order the food in for you).

Can I bring my own paintball gun, goggles and paintballs? At some paintball range locations you can bring your own paintballs gun, but no full auto or burst modes are allowed. You can also bring your own paintball goggles. You must have goggles that are manufactured specifically for paintball and they must have a full face mask and ear protection. Some paintball operators require that the paintballs be purchased directly from their location to check the safety of the product. But others allow you to use your own paintball pellets. You should ask the paintball operator first about this.

When should I make a reservation? It is better to make reservations 2-3 weeks in advance, but it can be done in less time than that as long as space and equipment are available.
