School Reunion

A class reunion is a meeting of former classmates, typically organized at or near their former school by one of the class on or around an anniversary of their graduation. Former teachers may be invited as well. Usually, participants nostalgically reminisce about their old school days, fondly remember their school pranks, and bring each other up to date on what has happened to each of them since they went their separate ways.

If you are planning a high school reunion, you have a lot of work ahead of you. One of the most difficult jobs is rounding up all of the former students. High school graduation is major catalyst that often scatters classmates to the far corners of the Earth. This can make it difficult to find everyone, but there are some tips that might help.

First, you may have to do some homework to find your lost high school reunion members. This may mean making a few phone calls, doing a little research, or contacting a few family members. Most of the time, these phone calls will lead you in the right direction. However, sometimes there just is no one to contact.

It is now the age of information and this can actually work for your benefit. Searching online for your high school reunion members can seem ominous at first, but once you know where to look it can be a real time saver. One place that is growing in popularity is the networking sites that reunite old friends. These sites like classmates.com, alumni.net, and myspace.com make it possible for old friends to find each other, post bulletins, and send messages.

In addition to searching for individuals, you must also provide adequate information for those individuals searching for you. Many people run ads in newspapers which is a good way to reach a large number of high school reunion attendees. However, you need to make sure that you have valid contact information.

One way to adequately provide the information for your high school reunion is to develop a web page. Since the purpose of your website is information rather than commercial, you can even get a free web site. Many free web sites also come with a free site builder, so you donít have to know much about building a web site.
